    Error 1921 cannot uninstall

I have blink pro installed on one of my machines running server 2003, and when I try to uninstall I get this error.

Error 1921 'blinksvc' could not be stopped, verify you have sufficient privileges.

I am logged on as a domain admin.  In Services it shows the Blink service engine as 'stopping'.

What do I need to do to uninstall?  Thanks in advance.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Did you try logging on with local system Admin rights instead?  I would recommend setting your server to start without Blink, restart the system, and then uninstall it.  Blink is very protective of its services (in efffort to protect itself from something malicious stopping it) therefor sometimes completely starting your system without it running sometimes solves these types of issues.

Since your using Blink Professional, you are entitled to support via your own customer support portal located here:

    https://www.eeye.com/clients

Support throught the portal is a lot quicker than through these forums.

Yes, this account has full administrative privileges.  Unfortunately I don't have my password to log on and don't remember the answer to my security question.  On top of that my contract has expired.  I did submit to 'account@eeye.com' for assistance...we'll see.

    Thanks for your help,

    Thanks,

     Hi,

You may be seeing an older issue where the service could not be stopped during the uninstall. Please try to reboot, shutdown Blink first and then try to uninstall.

Please let us know if that works for you.
