Update for Blink component of 4.4.1 Fails

    Update for Blink component of 4.4.1 Fails

    I had to manually install to this version the other day. Since then when I try to update the Blink component fails. Just now the message is "Too much time elapsed while waiting for the cache request to finish generating. Please try again."

    Also get "The sever response for application update doesn't have the required structure."

    I am on a fully updated patched vista machine.

    Any ideas?

         Yes, you can go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt on your system and grab a copy of the debug_syncit.log and send it to lnicula@eeye.com .  Refer to this post in your email so he may respond accordingly.

    I'm having the same problem. Whenever I update blink, the last section has a red x, and at the bottom I get that same message.

    I too have been having the update fail, alternating between the "required sturcture" message and the Cache message.  This occurs on both of my systems, both currently patched XP boxes.  I have been successfully getting the antivirus updates.

     We have recently updated our servers. During the update process some of you might have experienced update errors.

    If these errors continue, please let us know immediately so we can investigate and fix them.

    A quick update. We have solved one last remaining issue on the update server and updates should be flowing.

    As of Friday 8/28, !5:00 EST, neither of my machines can establish connection for the Blink component.  Error 12029 for 3 days.

    It seems to work perfectly now.  However it does not find any updates saying that all components are up to date.  I imagine the issue with the server did not necessarily mean that I had updates to the blink application that the process could not apply.  I assumed it did but maybe not.  I just thought it worth mentioning that the failure to receive errors did not result in any update.

    If I remember correctly, there were only AV signatures that were applied to mine.  Most of the time, if there are not any updates for the other modules in Blink, you will only see a small download (like around 380kb or so).  This is just a small file that is pulled down to check and verify that versions for each subsection of Blink are up-to-date.
