3.1 personal upgrade Failed - left with being unable to uninstall Beta version

I attempted to upgrade from the free (at least for a year) beta 3.1 to the free personal edition 3.1

I downloaded the current 3.1 version from the web site.

I shutdown Blink using the systray icon then uninstalled Blink personal beta using windows add/remove facility responding not to delete configuration data or license data.

I fired up the install setup module for 3.1 and it got to the part where it checked for running blink drivers then recieved the following message:

Error 26505.  You must reboot your computer before installing Blink.  Once your computer is restarted you must launch the blink setup again.

I rebooted and surprisingly blink beta came up again.  I fired off the install module as instructed however but recieved the same error.  Now I am unable to uninstall Blink Beta as it no longer shows up in the windows add/remove programs window.  Blink Beta seems to be working fine

Any idea how to recover from this and what I may have done wrong to begin with?

    Thanks,

    John

    Thank You,
    John

Now I am unable to uninstall Blink Beta as it no longer shows up in the windows add/remove programs window

Try going to the Start button, then into Program Files.  Look for the eEye digital security program group.  Is it still there?  If so it should have its own uninstall ability in there.  If you see it there, try uninstalling Blink Beta again.  If the uninstall function does not show up in there, try rebooting your computer in Safe mode, then coming back and checking again.

Download this tool: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe, run it and remove the eEye Digital Security Blink product.

Re-download and install the 3.5.6 installer and thenyou should be able to uninstall it properly.

Le us know how it goes!

    Cheers
