Just a quick question about BLINK and being protected while updates are in process..

 Example: Startup Computer...perform a manual update and while that is happening outlook is opening and recieving emails...

Is BLINK protecting me even during auto updates? Are auto updates prevented?

Any answers would be appreciated..

It pretty much depends on the type of update. If the engine that processes SMTP or POP3 traffic is being updated, protection for these services will be suspended for several seconds.However if only the AV component is being updated, there will be no interruption in email protection.

That is interesting - I know Mcafee actually seems to pause outlook when it auto updates.... which I would think is a good idea... unless you guys are not as worried becase of the mutilple layers of protection..
