    Scheduler Module Error

I received a message that the scheduler module encountered an error.  It said to send the following file to the support department.  This is the file... %CommonProgramFiles%\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt\debug_syncit.log  How do I send it.  Or is it sent automatically.  What does this mean?

    Re: Scheduler Module Error

    Just had a message myself.

The Scheduler module enountered an error. Please send the following file to our support department: %CommonProgramFiles%\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt\debug_syncit.log

Have had Blink Personal on and off for several days, had to reinstall a few times. Have yet to see an update occur automatically.

Several times I would be reading the help files or just looking around when it would just shut down. The task bar icon would disappear also.

Right now the update module is frozen.

Too many problems. Great concept if all these bugs are ever fixed, but unusable the way it is.

Isn't there anyone here who can give us a clue as to what the problem is?

You know, I really liked the concept of Blink Security and I wanted to keep it but no tech support is provided.

If these forums are the only type of support then that's sad.

50 hrs. and no responses. Not even an acknowledgement that a problem exists.

When one depends on a program for the defense of their system, one cannot wait to see if someone might answer.

You forced me to remove this from my system.

Trying to get help here is like the old cliche, Talking to the Wall.

Well its a free version that clearly states there is no tech support....

On that note are you running the free version? - if not then you need to contact them and they will support it...

The forum is more a place for users to help eachother rather than have direct help from Eeye Staff - thou they are here very often trying to keep up on issues..I would not fault them for not jumping on an issue that noone here seems to have had an issue with ..

Have you tried the normal things first to solve this?

    Uninstall / Reinstall?

I have been seriousely considering plunking down my 20 something bucks for a license now that this is out of beta just in case I really needed support but I will say this for a free version they have always answered my questions here on the forum... even the security guys need a day off now and then..

    Re: Scheduler Module Error

I have had this problem re-occuring for a while now.

It goes along with blink reporting millions more malware files than I have total files on my computer.

The Eeye people seem to be ignoring this. I have forwarded the logfile to any email address as the suggested send to support dept email address doesnt seem to exist.

I do a scan every day. What I am seeing is, one day the schedule error, 2nd day the malware found number is ridicoulous, like

malware found:1634878208 , yet files scanned is only 186339.,

     3rd day, Malware found : 0

fourth day, schedule error again and it starts all over.

If Eeye wants to gain clients , I suggest they start responding to thier clients issues.

Although,  until recently I thought it was a good product, being ignored is quickly changing my opinion of the product and the company.

    Anybody at Eeye listening?

    Re: Scheduler Module Error

if they wont even acknowledge the bugs in the free version, why would anyone pay for another version that may have all the same bugs. eeye wont even tell us if the issues we are complaining about are resolved in th pay version.

I too liked blink at first but between the lack of support and the brutal user-nonfriendly interface doesnt make me want to purchase this at all. I

    Re: Scheduler Module Error

At that time we exceeded the capacity of our update server as more users started using Blink. We did upgrad the bandwidth and all this problems should now be fixed.

Please try to reproduce this issue with the 3.5 beta. If you keep having this issue, please post in the Beta 3.5 forum and someone from eEye will follow up with you to collect further debugging information.
