    Blink update on boot ?

I have Blink Personal 3.1, works a treat, I have set the blink scheduler for updates, virus scans etc but hit a problem.
This being a domestic PC is not running 247 and so very oftern its not on when the scheduler is programmed to run the blink updates and scans.

Is there a way to get blink to update every time it turns on and perhaps run a virus scan once a week.  For this I guess I would need some command line switches and a bit of hacking ...

    I a linux guy ... Im thinking something like a  /etc/cron.daily, /etc/cron.weekly :)

    Cheers

For auto-updates see http://forums.eeye.com/forums/t/241.aspx.  I'm not sure off-hand whether there is a command-line app for malware scanning...

    Kind Regards,

    Andy

If Blink misses any of the scheduled tasks it will perform them when the system comes up. There will however be a predefined delay between the moment the computer starts and when the task is performed to avoid slowing down the system executing too many tasks at the same time. For example Vulnerability Assessment scans will be performed one hour after the system boots up.
