matti:Blink install fails before creating an uninstall entry in the Add/Remove list and the directory does not seem to contain any modules to initiate an uninstall. Reading this board, the only advice I have seen is to "Reinstall in order to Uninstall". A little unorthodox, I'd say, maybe even effective, in some cases, but certainly not for me: Since the original problem is that Blink installation will not complete, the advice is less than useful. Blink, just like any other software consists of files and registry entries. Surely you must have the means of removing all traces of Blink after an incomplete and unsuccessful install?
Please! It's driving me nuts and giving Blink a bad reputation.
I had the same trouble when trying to install Blink with Nod32. Needless to say, it fudged the install. However, Blink did manage to install, but the install was broken. It did not add an entry for Blink in the Add/Remove Programs. I was not able use Blink. Moreover, when I rebooted and started back into Windows, the system slowed to crawl, until Windows fully loaded.
Did you attempt install over another AV/Firewall?
