Blink stopped working today after an update. The Update Summary is as follows:

eEye Auto-Update 2.4.15
Application Bus 2.3.4
Blink AntiVirus Engine 1.0.254
Blink REBOOT PENDING

The first three items are preceeded by a green check; the last is marked by a red X.

Rebooting doesn't solve the problem. Any idea of what is happening

I can kill EEVEENT.EXE through the Task Manager. I see no icon in my system tray. In fact, if it wasn't for the Norton Protection Center, I would have never noticed that Blink wasn't fully operational. It reports that both antivirus and firewall are not working.

Numerous times. No joy.

So you are running a Norton / Symantec product on top of Blink?

I'm running Norton Utilities only, and that is limited to its disk utilities and the protection center feature that monitors status of whatever firewall and antivirus - that is, are they there and working. Been doing since I first started using Blink with no ill effects. As I noted, there was no indication of a problem until the NPC icon displayed a red x.

 I reintalled Blink 3.1 and things worked fine until it automatically updated and status went back to Reboot Pending.

 I can start Blink manually, but the starting service window turns into a a error window: Blink Service failed to start (0x80040201).

 I stopped the NPC service and had similiar results and error code.

I am getting this message with Blink Personal 3.1 After it downloaded an update in indicated that the update would be installed after a reboot.  The Icon had gone.

Rebooted -Blink did not start- went through the autoupdater still no start up just a REBOOT PENDING message.

Rebooted several times still not luck.

Any answers? 

Honestly you more than likely need to remove BLINK and install a fresh copy of the latest version..

If you cannot uninstall for some reason let us know here and we can give steps to uninstall I know I had to do this in the latest one and after i installed fresh all the issues went away..

Ditto! I have experienced exactly the same problem after running Blink Personal for a month of more on two separate computers.

We found a problem and we are working on fixing it. The fix will be present in 3.5.3 which will be released later this week.

 Thank you very much for reporting this issue and helping us fix the issue.

The easiest way to fix this is to uninstall Blink 3.2 and reinstall Blink 3.5  from here: http://download.eeye.com/html/products/blink/personal/installer/blinkconsumersetup.exe

We fixed this issue and starting from 3.5.3 it will not happen anymore.
