Incremental antivirus updates - anything that keeps it from being over 10Mb per machine, every week!

Almost all AV vendors do this.

Blink is already applying incremental updates however the system needs to be updated as the quantity of new signatures is ever increasing and the incremental file gets too big too fast.

Work is in progress to address this issue.

Thank you, it would be very appreciated.

I have installed AVG Free on many systems where they were on dial-up, but would rather have given them Blink. :)

Even if we use Blink Personal and are happy to have this Security Product in use, we need in some case other software too.
Disk encryption software will be the next for me to buy. I prefer SecureDoc from WinMagic, but there are a lot of other Companies and Solutions out there. It will be good to know wich program is working near to Blink Personal without complain.
It will be nice if you know the answer reffering SecureDoc.

    I recommend TrueCrypt.  http://www.truecrypt.org

    It's free.

Me too Spunner :). TrueCrypt is the best choice if you do not need the encryption of the boot sector. I just need a liddle more on Laptop. Pre-boot encryption and token authentication is my choice.

Re: Items You Would Like to See Added to Blink

I'd like to suggest a change in the firewall rule alert / popup dialog. I believe it now defaults to whichever of the two usage options was last selected. (<Create permanent rule.> or <For this application instance only.>)  I'd rather see each new alert default to the <For this application instance only.> option. This would help to prevent unintentionally granting permanent permission to apps. (Sometimes my wife doesn't actually READ the dialogs.)

Hey; how about a check box to identify the option(s) that the user wants to be the default?!?

Whatever you choose will be the new default.  :)  Already added.

Re: Items You Would Like to See Added to Blink

This is not really a item I think should be added to Blink but rather an item I would like to see here on the site. I have friends that are truly into computer/internet security. They are the ones who suggested this product to me. However, I don't feel like I am part of the Blink market. What I know about computer security I learned by trail and error. Getting a virsus or a type of malware and learning how to get rid of it. I would love to see a "Beginners" tutorial on Blink. Perhaps one that would list firewall rules suggested by other users who know a little more about this product that I currently do. Hopefully, this tutorial would be directed at folks like me who want a secure system but don't want to learn how to technically design it. I have enough to do ( all of my work is done via the net) and I don't really have the time to run around checking to see if I have all the rules activated so that my security software can do it's job. Perhaps, as I have said, Blnk is not the product for me but while I am still reviewing it, I would like to know that there is somewhere I can go to make sure I have it working at it's fullest potential. A tutorial or something similar would really help especially if it allows serious users of Blink to post their tips and suggestions. Maybe even call it "Blink for Dummies"....wouldn't offend me at all.

    1 and 3 for sure

Also some work on How to fix in VulnAssesment re: http://forums.eeye.com/forums/p/276/1171.aspx#1171

Also have blink stop loading IE when clicking on any links in the app...(or as I just found out..the renew license app in personal)

...I'm a FF user and I -really- don't like to use IE but afaik there's no way to avoid it even if FF is the default browser....

Deal with the fast user switching issue (blink warnings and dialogs only show up for the first user logged on)

This user would like the ability to import a list of IPs that should either be trusted or blocked into Blink.

This user would like to see a scan progree bar of some nature with time remaining stats in the AV/Spyware scanning section while doing a scan.

While we're on the current scan page, I'd also like to see a list of what/how many malware items have been found..

From the System Tray icon, a right-click option to lock down all traffic, with a corresponding change to the icon (red circle with a slash or some such thing).

Re: Items You Would Like to See Added to Blink

I would like to see some sort of check box next to the 'Endpoint Vulnerability Assessment Report' that would allow me to check off the actions  Blink recommends after I have completed them. This would be only for the User and have no bearing on Blink or it's operations

This would help solve the problem that I have. As I am trying to complete the suggested actions to reduce or eliminate the number of vulnerabilities by risk, I often lose where I left off on the Security Checklist. This would be very helpful the first time the Vulnerability scan is ran since the number of risk can be high and all the actions you have to take may be many.

It's very easy to lose your place while switching back and forth between the report and the additional window you have to open in order to do the actions. A simple check mark  that I place beside the actions I have taken would keep me from losing my place in the list.
