    bug, error, blink beta

     

     Event ID: BLINK-ENG-601
     Severity: High
     Description: The Scheduler module enountered an error.
     Alert: No
     Error Message: SyncIt failed after 3 attempts

    I've got a few of these, just noticed them.

    Sometimes this will happen if the auto-update server is in maintenance when try to update. This will not be problem if happened randomly. But this will be problem if it happen everytime. Does that error happen every day?

    If it happens everytime, please send me the syncit log file, which should be "Program Files\Common Files\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt\debug_syncit.log"

    so we can check what's happended there.

    Yes, I have some

    " April 04, 2008-05:21:19 [01324:05568]--> CSyncitApp::CreateErrorXMLResponseFromString, strErrorText=Failed to send the update request to the web server. -- Error Code: 12007; Description: The server name or address could not be resolved

    , strXMLVersion=1.0"

     But I also have some of these -

    "April 03, 2008-02:17:42 [00788:07028]--> CReg - GetValue() - RegQueryValueEx() : Path = SOFTWARE\eEye\SyncIt\ApplicationBus  Value = Usage  : The system cannot find the file specified."

    With differing paths. Some are to this, some are to "Path = SOFTWARE\eEye\SyncIt\SyncIt"

    Does it happen every time you update or once in a while?

    Can you please send this file "C:\Program Files\Common Files\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt\debug_syncit.log" to blink.eap@eeye.com ?
