eEye Digital Security

I started with the Beta Version - and then upgraded ( blink executable version 3.5.6.1761 )

I performed and Add/remove program as the upgrade demanded a serial number, and left me in an odd state.

I am now left with no add remove program icons/ Blink is installed still in the program directory, is defending itself against being uninsttalled

Installing Blink is resulting in a 26505 error and a demand to reboot and try the install again.

 What gives here people - E-eye needs to provide a digitally signed manual uninstaller that can get my system out of this state ASAP.

Any ideas ?

So no suggestions - eeye security or anyone on how to get the malfunctioning, damaged product off my machine ?

 Please try these steps: 

1. Run this command: del %WinDIR%\System32\drivers\eeye?.sys
2. Run this command: del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Blink.lnk"
3. Delete these registry keys:
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\eEye
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eeyeevnt
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eeyeh
4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eeyet
5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eeyen
6. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\blinksvc
4. Restart the system
5. Download Chown from http://wwwthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/~frink/chown.zip and run this command: chown.exe -r Administrators "%ProgramFiles%\eEye Digital Security\Blink\*.*"
1. NOTE: If the OS is not English, replace “Administrators” with the localized name of the Administrators group.
6. Run  this command: cacls "%ProgramFiles%\eEye Digital Security\Blink" /T /G Everyone:F
7. Delete the C:\Program Files\eEye Digital Security\Blink folder

 Many thanks for the steps above. I had the same problem with both my computers - having just bought a new licence for Blink Personal, trying to upgrade from version 3.5.6 to 4.0.4. resulted in an error 26505 and loss of the uninstall icon in add/remove programs. However I had to combine the above steps with using regedit to manually delete as many eeye entries as the computer allowed (some were not removable), with using ccleaner to the same effect, plus disabling the old eeye application bus in Microsoft Services and then using the 4.0.4. installer again. However that was half a day wasted trying to figure all this out, scouring the forums for help and much trial and error. Eeye has got to improve their upgrade process. 

 Did you try removing the old license via License Management under Help? When I switched from Beta to Paid-version, I selected in Transfer license in License Management to remove traces of old license number.
