Thunderbird Portable -- Firewall Rule #2, #3, #n not created

Hi -- I use Thunderbird for my email client (portable edition, on a local drive) and it seems that Blink cannot create subsequent rules for the Thunderbird application. The first rule will create when prompted, however; when another rule prompt is shown (for example, Thunderbird using a different outbound port) and 'allow/create permanent rule' is chosen, the rule is not created within Blink.

However, if I manually edit the existing rule to match the port ranges desired then it works normally.

For information about the 'portable' edition of Thunderbird:

Please note, this is *not* being ran from a memory key but instead is being ran locally...

This may be something new with the final release of version 4.0.  See here:  http://forums.eeye.com/forums/t/625.aspx

See the comment: "- Blink will avoid creating duplicate Application Firewall rules. If another disabled rule is found, it will be enabled instead of creating a new rule."

I am not sure if this may be your case, but it is a possibility.  Is your program NOT working properly because of this?

I may have to try using Thunderbird myself and see if it happens too.

I just tried this and it worked for me. An easy way to test is to use telnet google.com XX where XX is a port number.

You can run the command multiple times and increase XX. If the rule you create is specific to the XX port you should be asked once  for each new port.
