    Blink 4.0.4 on Server 2008

    I am getting high CPU uage from blinksvc.exe on a Server 2008 (Virtualized on ESX) install. Anyone else seeing high CPU usage on Server 2008?

    This is a 32-bit system by the way.

         I have not dealt with Windows Server 2008 at all.  Are you using Blink Professional?  If you are, you are entitled to customer support via a user portal located at:  https://www.eeye.com/clients/login.html?access=0&target=&rnd=080905.161540.625822.423

         Have you tried to round it down to see if a particular module of Blink is causing the issue?  I would try disabling the AV component and then IPS components separately to see if any of that improves your resource usage results.

    If you disable the AV engine, does the CPU usage drop?

    Blink 4.1 due to be released at the end of the month should improve AV performance on Vista based systems.
