    moh:
Before releasing official release, we are providing beta release which is fixing the pop3 issues.

Just a F.Y.I. The Beta release fixed the pop issue that i was having with Time Warner (Brighthouse) email and downloading to MS Office Outlook 2007, on Windows XP SP3 system. It had been driving me crazy. Please post the original server value so that I can change I back. I failed to copy it.

    GaryCN, please read http://forums.eeye.com/forums/p/873/3729.aspx#3725  again.

Re: Please read this who has POP3 Mail issues.

That fixed an OUtlook issue for me.  However, the blocking app was the Firewall not the IPS.  Also, I have a similar problem with IE7 on WindowsXP using RoadRunner.  I cannot connect to the internet at all unless I disable firewall.  Are there any fixes for that?

    Thanks

Re: Please read this who has POP3 Mail issues.

I had been waiting for the fix to come out in production, but finally used the beta server on one machine yesterday.  I did change the update server back to default.  I do most of my email on that system and it became quite a pain to disable intrusiion prevention before each download and enable again afterwards.  It seems to have fixed the problem.  Windows XP Home, SP3, current with WU on all systems.  Two Questions:

     1. Any idea when this will be released without using the beta server?

    2. Will the system I used the beta server be required to back out the beta update?  Or will my having simply changed the server name back to default be sufficient for that machine.

    Thank You

#1.  Don't know about this one.

#2.  My guess is the update will simply overwrite or update the beta install portion of it.  If your back to the original server you should be good.  eEye will have to elaborate on this for us.

The 4.2.1 update has been released. If you downloaded the Beta, you don't need to do anything else as the final release is the same as the beta.

This might be caused by some stray firewall rule. Please reset your configuration and recreate your firewall rules.

No, it wasn't the rules.  It was your bad fix on 4.2.0.  I wrote that 421 had not been released out of beta on 1/5 at 11 pm and it had not.  Today I found it had installed and all is well on all systems now.

    Thank You,

My reply was to DEllis5. I guess I should have quoted the original post...

So 4.2.1 was supposed to solve the Outlook hang issue?

Hmm I still seem to be having this issue... trying to narrow it down - seems like it's intermitent and usually associated with larger graphics files..

How large are we talking about?  What graphic formats cause this, all of them, or just particular ones?
