    Re-installing Blink

I've had Blink Personal for a few years now.  I got it when it was entirely free for personal use and have had it ever since.  My hard drive failed the other day so Dell sent me a new one and I installed it today.  I've been trying to get Blink back on my computer now and finally found the free version through C-net.  When I try to install it looks just like it did when I first got it and when I don't put in the serial number just like I did before when it was free it gives me a message of bad license agreement.  I really need to put this back on my omputer and I had just recieved an email that I could still use the free version for like a year or so.  Now I can't even put it back on my computer.  I tried to log on to some sort of account I may have set up on their website and tried to use the remember my password function but it didn't work because they said they sent me an email but it never came.  Hopefully someone can help me just put the same program I had before on my computer.  Thanks for any help I can get.

Try downloading the free for one year Personal Edition from eEye's homepage here:  http://free-antivirus.eeye.com/

I also made this post for anyone experiencing issues with cleaning up, removing, or installing Blink:

    http://forums.eeye.com/forums/t/752.aspx

What ever you have installed now I would recommend un-installing it and trying a fresh install from the above link I gave you.  When you get to where you are asked for your license number, just click Next.  It should still give you a free year again (as long as you have cleaned all of the old registry keys and folders from the old version you have installed now from your system).  My clean up recommendations I gave in my post should assist you with this if your not familiar with how to do it.

Finally, after you set up Blink the way you like it (i.e. firewall rules and Options) you can go to "File"  >> "Export" >> "Active Rule Set" to save your configuration somewhere else for future use.  To import settings back into Blink that you have saved, go to "File" >> "Import" and then select your settings file to restore it for future installations.

    Hope this all helps.
