    How To Avoid The Error, "This license has already been used.", in Blink Personal Edition.

    This is for anyone that has purchased a single license or license package for Blink Personal Edition. 

         To save yourself the headache of dealing with the error message "This license has already been used", follow these steps if you intend to un-install Blink (before re-installing it) or you have to re-image or re-install your Windows OS for any given reason.

    From Blink's Help menu at the top complete the following steps:

    1. Go to "License Management"

    2. Select the circle next to "Transfer License"

    3. Click Next

    4. Select the box at the bottom of the next screen that says "Yes, I want to remove my license from this machine."

    5. Click Next and acknowledge any further prompts.

     

    This should save you from going through any license related issues which will require you to contact eEye to have your license reset.

    Thanks, that's fine if you PLAN to do it.

    But what happens if you cannot do it in advance? For example, if your PC crashes and need to reinstall, or is lost or stolen? What do you do after the replacement and reinstallation?

     How do you go about doing this if the computer that has the license has crashed and the PC is to replace this crashed computer?  I have been trying to find ways to do this online, or by contacting Tech Support but can not find a number to call to resolve this.

         If your unable to complete this, you will have to send an email to licensing@eeye.com and include lnicula@eeye.com on your email explaining your issue.  If you have purchased a license pack, be sure to include your order number and name so they can look up your purchase information.
