too have the same problem with RoadRunnerRoadRunner (Time Warner) email
using Outlook 2007 or Outlook Express. What's odd is that I can
download the email headers no problem, but not the actual email. And I
too can get Outlook to download all emails by Blink's Intrusion
Protection.

The settings for this email account are basic:
* pop-server.roadrunner.com
* smtp-server.roadrunner.com
* Incoming port 110
* SMTP port 25
* SPA OFF
* SSL OFF
* authentication OFF
* encrypted connection NONE

Outlook will access all of my other non-RoadRunner accounts fine. It's just RoadRunner.

Please gather debugging log using following method:

Enable debugging executing following command from command prompt.

reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\eEye\Blink /v Blinksvc /t REG_DWORD /d 2

Perform the task that is causing the problem.

Disable debugging executing following command from command prompt.

reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\eEye\Blink /v Blinksvc /t REG_DWORD /d 0

See and send the log c:\Program Files\eEye Digital Security\Blink\blinksvc.log to moh@eeye.com.

Re: Outlook Email

Ditto on lmcclary's post. No inbound email from Roadrunner after 4.2.0 upgrade.

Re: Outlook Email

I too have the same problem with Blink blocking my RoadRunner email downloads in

I am having another problem that may be related. I am getting constant pop ups apparently caused by my printer. It is in the "snmp servers" category, "default community string" is the name, and the description is "An snmp client supplied a default community". When I turn off Intrusion Prevention it goes away.
This is not a first for Blink. The exact same thing happened a year or so ago. Blink doesn't come out on the forum and tell us what happened. All they mentioined the last time was to run the update and the issue will go away and it did.

Re: Outlook Email

Try this once to see if you can narrow it down which rule set may be causing issues. Go into the Intrustion Prevention section of Blink. Start by going under the "Signatures" tab section. Uncheck each section of rules one by one and try downloading your mail after each one. See if you can find a particular section of rules that may be affecting your mail. If after you find a section that is causing this, open up the section and then disable each individual rule under that section until you pinpoint the exact one that is causing the issues.

You may also try this under the Analyzers tab section too, however, I doubt that is the issue.
