    Remote registry access

I am having issues gaining remote registry access even though known good credentials are used.  Remote Registry service has been verified to be started along with file and print services allowed.  I am not sure what else is requried.  The computer being scanned is a Windows 2003 member server.  Any ideas on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

Is your issue similar to what this user described?  http://forums.eeye.com/forums/t/1132.aspx

    Brian,

Can you assist with this one?  Seems the remote registry is an issue for a few folks.

    Re: Remote registry access

To help you out, look at the scanner log (xxxx_RetinaScanner.log in the Logs directory) and search for CreateRegSession. Examine the error code (err=xxx) at the end of the line and post back to the forum what it is. There are several things that could cause remote registry access to fail.

Also look for an entry like "OSDETECT_PHASE ....... Target OS (????)" and post the entry.
