I just set up the third of three machines with Windows7, and tried installing the third of a 3-asset license.

When the CD autoruns, and I click "Install Now" and let it through the security check, a little window pops up saying "Checking for incompatible software..."  Then it goes away and nothing happens.

This didn't happen on the first two -- those installed without a problem.  Anybody know what might be making this happen?

Update 12/19:  More information.  I re-installed W7 on this machine and watched carefully what happens when I tried to install Blink. 

A - First it installs the VC libs (both x64 and x86 -- even though this is a 64-bit machine running 64-bit windows7).

B - Then it goes "checking for incompatable software".

C - A second later, a windows7 error dialog pops up saying "Software Removal Tool has stopped working".  It gives me two options, 1) check for a solution online and then close the program, or 2) close the program.

It doesn't matter which one I pick, the program quits and no install occurs.

 It only does A (above) the first time.  It does C for three or four times (I kept trying to install), and after that it just does B and then goes away.

Does this occur if you use the downloaded version of Blink Personal Edition 4.5.1 from:

It was the CD I got after I bought it, the same one I used for the first two installs.  I'll try that link and see what happens.

Thanks!  It installed perfectly from that link, and it took my serial number and everything!

That is good to know.  I am not sure what is going on with the CD issue though ... that is weird.

     So you don't have any issues (like other users have had) with the three license pack, please read this post:

HI: I'M new to this forum.  I downloaded the software from the sight you suggested and tryed to install it.. it starts the install then come ups with an ERROR that says "Error 1723 A DLL required for this install to complete couldn't be run" Then the Install backs out and quits!! 

The Specs for my Computer are Intell i7 920 CPU, Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Mother Board,12 Gbyte corsair Memory, C:-DRV WD 1-TB SATA HDD E:-DEV 1-TB WD SATA HDD,  WIN 7 OEM  Operating System. I have used Blink Software for a long time.  This is the first time I've had trouble loading the application.  Any help would is appreciated

HI Inicula I downloaded from the URRL you gave me & installed blink following the Instructions.  first removing and reinstalling.  The results are the same I have to Disable Blink before I can access the Internet.  What is the next thing you want me to try??

 I would recommend disabling the firewall and trying again. If it works, it means that you have create a rule that denies your access and you can use the Reset Configuration option to go back to the default settings.

Let us know if this is solving the issue you are having.
