  • Re: Adobe Flash Player False Positive?

I found this file in \Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash6.ocx As admin I could not delete the file even with /f. I could rename it however.  MD5...: b729ba1592acacb47f2b06dd3d5753fa does not show as an infected file. I presume I'd have to bring the system down to properly delete the file or killbox it.

  • Re: Firewall is not working!

In reply to my own post, a reboot was performed and the problem disappeared. Verified by loading Security Center and confirming it was reporting as 'ON'.

  • Re: Blink Firewall Bugs

Thanks Blue, I have already taken the steps to isolate the firewall.  Disabling it removes these issues from repeating.  (Meaning the problem goes away) I have also upgraded my vncviewer, which seems to have many improvements including not freezing as often. But it still freezes. I'll continue with the bug report as you ...

  • Blink Firewall Bugs

In addition to the Security center issue noted in the topic "Firewall not working!" I have noticed two very big problems with the Blink firewall, one I recall reporting more than a year ago.   1.  Firewall kills network activity. - At some seeming random point in time the network just stops working.  Disabling the Blink ...

  • Re: Firewall is not working!

My guess is it's not registered properly in the Windows Security Center application.  Technet has some docs on this, but I wouldn't know how to fix this without more details.   It may also be a issue/conflict with disabling the WFW/ICS service.   I'll call this a bug for the time being until someone can provide more ...

  • Re: Firewall is not working!

I'm suspicious that it occured immediately after shutting down WFW/ICS.  Something is buggy. Security Center is complaining there is no firewall and no anti-virus.  Is there a solution? Security Center: Firewall: eeye Digital Security Blink Firewall reports that it is currently turned off.... (Firewall is enabled - alerts and ...

  • Re: Legit Detections or False Positives?

I noticed the quarantine files are packed and they look like a known packer from a quick look, Would these do?  Or should I still pack these up as suggested?

  • Re: Check for Updates Downloads slow and keep failing

Ah yes I read that, thanks.  I don't think it needs to be repeated that if the Norman updates could shrink this could have a big impact on the downloads themselves.

  • Re: How to Run Blink as Administrator at User Login

Thanks.  I just wanted to make sure things like 'updates' could still occur without issue.  I'm getting mixed results currently so I'll dig into it further here.

  • How to Run Blink as Administrator at User Login

Is there a preferred way to run Blink as Administrator at user login, or is it recommended that one does not attempt this?
