  • Re: Restarting process and switching windows identity

Your trying to create a rule in the System Protection module itself to "detect" something based on a process, but you need to exclude that particular process from Blink's Application Protection engine (aka "Kevlar") instead. To do this, you must modify an .ini file within Blink...

You may also consider creating an IPS exception Rule in the "Apiex.ini" file in Blink. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\eEye Digital Security\Blink\Config and then double click on the "apiex.ini" file to open it...use Wordpad for this. The whole upper portion of the file is a description...

  • blinksvc.exe running away with my CPU

I am using 4.2 free version. I am considering going to the paid version and loading on 3 computers. My one concern is that blinksvc.exe, as shown in TaskMangler, is consuming tons of CPU -in the 80-95% range. I've seen other posts that indicated I should change the .ini and another that states not...

  • Re: Windows media player

That alert is because of Blink's Internal Application Protection Engine, that eEye named "Kevlar". There was something running via Window's Media Player that Blink did not like and it stopped it just to be safe about it. How often does that occur? Do you remember when you got that alert...

  • Re: apiex.ini

Hello lalulofi, The one that you should be able to modify is the editor file. If I remember correctly it looks like the text file format. Modifying this file will exclude a particular file, or application from being protected under Blink's Application Protection Engine (known as "Kevlar"...
