  • Re: Windows 7 Beta

I can answer portions of your post: [quote user="biosci3c"]I am currently running Blink 4.4.1 on Windows 7 RC 32-bit. It works great (seems better than on XP SP3). However, there are a couple of issues. I have had a few BSODS, which I have traced back to blink (several occured in a row, but...

  • Firewall is not working!

The firewall for Blink is not working for another user on my network. The blink security system claims that the firewall is on, however the windows security system is reporting it as off. It also reported that the anti-virus was off. She was able to get the security system to report that the anti-virus...

  • 4.2.0: Pidgin (AIM) disconnecting after 30s while Blink services enabled.

Since receiving the upgrade to Blink 4.2.0, my AIM sessions in Pidgin (the opensource IM client I use) are disconnected after ~30seconds. This problem does NOT occur in other IM clients (such as Miranda IM and the official AIM client), and does not occur with other IM protocols (MSN, XMPP). Firewall...

  • Re: A Reason NOT to allow IPv6 in Blink

Sorry to bump this thread, but I can't find this in Blink Personal Version 4.1.4, Rule version 1463. Which section should it be in?

  • DNS Packets Blocked

At apparently random intervals, Blink begins to block all DNS packets while I am on the Internet. I have seen that this is an issue "on extremely busy systems" that has been resolved, but on my system, busy or not, it still happens from time to time. Sometimes it happens from the get go, other...

  • Re: No internet access unless I turn off the firewall

Did you try a fresh reset of the configuration (this will wipe any firewall rules and restore it to what Blink had when you first installed it) by going to the "Tools" menu and then selecting "Reset Configuration"?

  • Firewall rules not taking effect

I have had this happen to me twice in the last two days. It would seem that the firewall rules that I have would not take effect. I would test this by unchecking the rule for firefox, and connections would still be allowed without Blink's firewall asking for it. After a reboot, the rules seem to...

  • Re: Blink 4.1 Firewall Blocking Access to iTunes

I would recommend placing Blink's firewall in "Passive Mode" and then attempt to access iTunes Store. If there needs to be any new rules created to allow it to function properly, you will see them logged in Blink's log. Anything that was logged you would use to create new rules and...
