I may have spoken too soon. I rebooted and now I can see the computer from the TiVo box. Thanks everyone for the help.

THank you for thetip. The one I found was about enabling two rules, 500013 and 510000 I believe. I enabled them, but that did not resolve the problem.

Perhaps someone has experience with TiVo Desktop. What I was able to do, until I installed Blink, was go into my TiVo, and it would show my desktop computer as a source of programs. I could then transfer files (video podcasts I downloaded from the Internet, mostly) from my desktop computer to my TiVo...
