OK, I got firefox to run smoothly again by first reinstalling Blink, then disabling intrusion prevention . I continue to run xp sp3 rc1.

I had time to do some quick testing. It seems the problem persists even when all four services are disabled under quick configuration. The only way to get right of the behaviour is to shut down Blink completely. I also noted I get these 100% cpu utilization freezes using other programs besides firefox...
