    Tried again after disabling UAC ,,, still no luck ... same experience ... "Blink Services starting ...", then "Intializing Protection engines..." . BLINK was then active, ... left it for 15 minutes ... the clock in the Task Bar had "stopped" 15 minutes ago... the cursor...

    Thanks for your response ... I have installed the downloaded version of 4.1.3 on a Windows XP laptop and it works just fine ... my experience was always fine in Windows XP. I ran CCleaner to clean out temp files (I like to be tidy) and then to clean out my registry. I ran CCleaner to clean-up my registry...

    It says it can't install because AVG Is installed. I had AVG a year ago but uninstall ed it right after I had it for a few days. I deleted all of the registry entries, folders and ran the AVG removal tool 2 times. I also restarted my computer. Is there a way to install it without having it do that...

    Yes, that is a rare occurence imo of installation issues. I would try one more time. Here is what I would recommend. If you have first attempted to uninstall Blink using Blink's uninstallation feature, you may try the following course of action. I have had problems in the past with A LOT of the registry...
